Contact Me

Hi, I’m your practitioner at Help4Minds.

If you are looking for a standard, textbook-only therapist who looks at you as a collection of symptoms to be "fixed," you won't find that here. My approach to Integrative Therapeutic Coaching is forged from five years of successful clinical practice, current higher education studies in academic psychology at the University of Derby, and—most importantly—hard-won, first-hand lived experience.

I don't just understand the traps of relational trauma, addiction, and neurodivergence because I read about them in a research paper. I understand them because I have lived them, survived them, and broken free from them myself.

⚓ The Journey: From Survival to Structure

My background is varied, demanding, and unconventional:

  • The Military Foundation: Serving in the Royal Navy taught me discipline, resilience, and gave me an acute understanding of high-pressure environments. But it also exposed me to the reality of how easily the human system can become overwhelmed when operating under chronic survival stress.
  • Overcoming Dependence: Like many people trying to cope with an over-activated nervous system or unmanaged ADHD, I used alcohol to cope, eventually experiencing binge drinking and alcohol dependence. Navigating my own path through recovery gave me an insider’s view of the addictive loop—I know exactly what that repetitive rut feels like, and I know the courage it takes to step out of it.
  • Surviving Relational Trauma: I am a survivor of narcissistic and coercive abuse. I know the devastating reality of the trauma bond, the exhausting cognitive dissonance, the constant second-guessing, and the severe "somatic false alarms" left behind by toxic partners. I did the intense work to heal my own system, dismantle those hooks, and reclaim my unshakeable autonomy.
  • The Neurodivergent Mind: Living with ADHD means I understand how a neurodivergent brain operates from the inside out. I know the daily paralysis of executive dysfunction, the intense burnout, and the frustration of trying to fit a unique mind into a "one-size-fits-all" world.

🔬 Bringing Lived Experience Into Clinical Science

After five successful years practising as a Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist (SFH), I realised that while changing subconscious habits is incredibly powerful, truly helping people break out of deep-seated ruts requires a multi-layered, integrative approach.

This realisation is what drove me to add Level 2 Counselling Skills, Clinical EFT Tapping, and advanced specialist training in Relational Trauma and Addictions to my toolkit. It is also why I am currently undertaking a University degree in Psychology at the University of Derby—anchoring my practical, real-world tools with rigorous, modern psychological science.
